Being on planes so many hours traveling for work, I've seen a lot of films lately. Plus, I think last year was a good year for movies, so I actually went to the theater a few times. A few of the best, a few to remember, and a few to forget.

• Amazing: Her, The Great Beauty, Dallas Buyers Club
• Very good: Blue Jasmine, Mandela, 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle
• Interesting: Broken, Miele, Frances Ha, The Attack, The Armstrong Lie, The Hunt
• Entertaining: Rush, Saving Mr Banks (i didnt expect that), Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Captain Philips, Wolf of Wallstreet
• Horrible: The Counselor
• Indifferent: Gravity
